iLike2Rock! on MyLot
iLike2Rock! is now making posts to MyLot as well as adding iLike2Rock! Blog to Mylot.
MyLot is a ver cool place where people come and ask questions on many topics, and the users of the site answer the questions.
The people that use the site also make money for making posts and answering questions.
I thought my Blog posts and Mylot posts would go hand in hand together and allow users that are looking for music, or music related questions resources to find answers.
I also hope that by using Mylot, I am able to get better feed back from everyday internet users and music lovers on music social networks and what they they look for in websites to make them want to join and use the sites, as well as their feedback on music and bands.

I have been SNEWED!!
It has been a while since I blogged here. I have just been so busy with everything going on that I have very little time to post outside my own site, iLike2Rock.net
But I felt compelled to write and let everyone know that I have been SNEWED!!

Down....Not Out!
An hour and a half before my show on NowLive.com, my Network Drive that housed everyones music, CRASHED!!
In a mad dash against the clock, (The Show Must Go On!)
I was able to put on a show that featured the newest artists, and the artists from Serge Ent. Group.
Had it not been for the last minute ripping of the awesome "Lehigh Valley Rocks!" 2 cd set, the last 2 hours of my show would have been shot.
Then, to top things off, NowLive.com was giving the listeners and callers into the show bad audio all night long.
Due to the fact that my services have always been free, I do not have the finances to purchase a new drive or data recovery services.
And of course, my warranty on the drive ended 31 days ago! (I hate Western Digital - I shoulda went Maxtor!)
I do have some backup CD's from the drive, and a stack of CD's that I can re-rip, but I do not have a drive capacity to hold such data.
And I know that I do not have some artists CD's, or a back up of their music. This is due to putting CD's into the iRock iRaq Promo Package.
So....where do I go from here?
I really can not do anything until I get a new hard drive.
At that point, I can start recovering from back ups and re-ripping CD's
Once I have gotten that far, I can get the station back online, and compile a list of artists music that I have.
And anyone wanting to rsend me their CD's at that time will be able to do so.
The biggest kicker of all is, I just bought a spindle of DVD's to do a major backup, the problem was, I was to busy doing
everything else, that I never had the time to get to it. : (
It has always been my standing to make iLike2Rock.net Free and self-funding.
That means the money that it generates, goes into buying software programs,hosting, bandwidth, etc.
Unfortunetly, the amount of money it makes is slim to none and slim never rode into town.
So, at this time, I have placed a notice on my home page with a PayPal button to take donations for a new hard drive.
Anyone and everyones support is greatly appreciated.
